Feature Organization

Dr. Carter-Francique serves as a researcher with Laureus Sport for Good USA’s Elevating Black Leaders in Sport (EBLS). Originally launched in 2021, EBLS was created to support Black leaders intentionally and holistically while increasing access to sports-based youth development programming for Black youth.

EDUCATION

We provide educational workshops and lectures for prospective college athletes, parents, coaches, and P-20 schools, and institutions & organizations institutions.

K-20 Workshops

We customize educational workshops to aid students, staff, coaches, and parents about the pathways to college athletic participation and education as well as life after college athletic participation.

Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Workshops

We customize educational workshops to aid individuals, organizations and associations’ understanding of and best practices for promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in sport and society.

Dr. Carter-Francique has worked with the following to provide Education & Training: Professional Sport: San José Earthquakes (Major League Soccer - USA), Intercollegiate Athletics: Colorado State University Department of Athletics, Minority Opportunities Athletics Association (MOAA), Collegiate Institutes: The Ohio State University’s Sports and Society Initiative, Organizations/Associations & Strategic Planning Firms: Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) & Goldes & Hart Facilitation, Corporations & Agencies: PayPal & ThermoFisher.

Cique Elite Track Club

Cique Elite Track Club is (a) dedicated to identifying and nurturing athletic talent, and (b) specializes in training global athletes who demonstrate excellence and life balance athletically, educationally, and socially.

Athlete-Life Coach

We customize services such as resume writing, social media presence, education and professional networks to aid in developing a professional profile and preparation efforts for life after sport.

Sista to Sista Program

Founded in 2009 by Dr. Carter-Francique and Dr. Deniece Dortch. Sista to Sista is a co-curricular leadership development program designed to foster a sense of connectedness amongst Black female collegiate athletes. Over the course of one academic year, participants will attend 6 workshops that focus on creating cultural excellence by expanding leadership, social, and life skills in accordance with the Life Skills program.

RESEARCH

We produce and provide theoretical and practical research on diverse issues in athletics and sport with emphasis on people of color and Black women in sport and physical activity. See the range of research on these topics.
